KRE-O Transformers StarScream

Kre-o Transformers StarScreamStarscream is one of the most ruthless of the Decepticons. And now with the new range of building blocks from Hasbro you can build your own Kre-o Transformers Starscream.

This set allows you to build StarScream as a robot about 16 inches tall, and then you can take him apart and build the awesome jet that you see in the image to the left.

Hasbro have really brought something new to the range of Transformers toys with the release of their KRE-O building blocks, and I can see the range growing as more of the Autobots and Decepticons are added.

The set is realtively easy to build yet it took me and my 8 year old daughter about two hours to complete it. This was a great Sunday afternoon activity and I’m looking forward to getting more of these so we can spend more quality time together.

STARSCREAM is the easily baddest of the bad guys. He is so evil that he even wants to take over the job of leader of the bad guys from Megatron and rule the world on his own. But no matter how many times he tries he never succeeds. You can build both Starscream and Megatron and battle it out with them to see who wins for yourself. Don’t forget that Optimus Prime will always be around to defeat them though, no matter who leads the Decepticons.

Take To The Skies with Transformers StarScream Kre-O

Building the robot is only half the fun. Starscream can be reassembled as a turbo powered jet fighter with removable rockets, and retractable wheels. The cockpit opens so you can put one of the KREON minifigures in to fly the jet.

Collect Them All

There are lots of other KRE-O Transformer sets you can collect aswell, and the cool thing about building blocks is you can join them all together to make one huge Transformer Robot.

KRE-O Transformers BumbleBee

Kre-o Transformers bumblebeeBumblebee is one of my favorite Transformers, he transforms into a camaro!!

Now with the new range of KRE-O building blocks from Hasbro, you can build your favorite Kre-o Transformers Bumblee, in vehicle or robot mode.

This cool 2 in 1 set includes 3 KREON figures: BUMBLEBEE, RED ALERT and a random Driver!

When you build him in robot mode, you can convert the wings on the BUMBLEBEE figure into a glider for KREON figures to ride on!
If you build Bumblebee in vehicle mode, up to 2 KREON figures can ride inside the sports car!

The original Bumblebee transformed into a Volkswagon Beetle, but they decided to change that for the latest movies. I guess a beetle wasn’t quite as cool as a yellow sports car, and to be honest I agree.

Kre-o Transformers Bumblebee – The coolest character

In the original comics and cartoons Bumblebee is sort of the Autobots mascot. He is always trying to prove himself to the other robots, and in particular to Optimus Prime. However, in the movies he is one of the first Transformers that you meet, and he is definitley capable of looking after himself. he is involved in heaps fo the fight scenes, and has some excellent moves.

So all in all I prefer the version of Bumblebee in the new movies to the original.

Kre-o Transformers Bumblebee Toys

There are heaps of different Bumblebee transformer toys on the market, but none are quite like the new one from Hasbro. Not only do you get to have all the fun of building him from blocks, but then you can play with him either in robot mode or in sports car mode.

The video below shows you the Kre-o Transformers Bumblebee set in action.

KRE-O Transformers Optimus Prime

Kre-o Transformers Optimus PrimeThe leader of the autobots Optimus Prime is easily the favorite transformer for most kids, and so the KRE-O Transformer Optimus Prime toy will probably fly off the shelves this christmas.

Hasbro have just released a fantastic new construction toy called KRE-O. I can only assume that they are going to release a whole range of toys in this style, but for now they have started with some of the most popular Transformers toys.

Optimus Prime comes in a couple of styles, but the set that comes with the twin cycles is amazing. Now before you get too excited these are construction sets similar to LEGO, and they do not transform. So if you make the autobot you cannot transform him into a truck, you have to take it a part and build it as a truck.

But when you do make this into the truck it also doubles as a command centre, so you can put your motorcycles and the KREONs that come with it inside.

Kre-O Transformers Optimus Prime Kreons

The KREONS are Hasbro’s version of LEGO’s minifigures, and this set comes with five of them. OPTIMUS PRIME, SKYWARP, BLUESTREAK, and 2 Stunt Drivers.

The minifigures are great additions to the set, but are also great fun to play with on their own.

The set includes  542 KRE-O pieces, 5 KREON figures, 2 motorcycles, orange traffic cones and decorative decals.

Although they say it is recommended for 8-14 year olds, I built this with my 9 year old and my 6 year old was more than capable of helping.

It goes together quite easily though there are enough tricky bits to keep you occupied for a couple of hours.

I haven’t built it in vehicle mode yet as the boys love the Huge Robot sitting on their dresser. Bt it looks like it might be slightly more complex.

If you are thinking of getting a KRE-O Transformer Optimus Prime toy for your kids this Christmas I’d advise you to get in quick to make sure you aren’t dissapointed.
